Our purpose
The Daily Quill publishes useful, sourced reporting for communities across the United States, with Central Alabama as a priority coverage area.
How stories are selected
We weigh reader usefulness, timeliness, evidence, originality, local impact and reputation risk. Publication volume never overrides accuracy, fairness, privacy, rights or reader trust.
Sources and verification
We link to primary records when practical, distinguish verified facts from source statements and analysis, and require additional corroboration for sensitive or consequential claims.
How we use AI
AI-assisted systems may help discover records, organize research, compare information, draft text, check consistency and perform publishing quality assurance. AI is never treated as a source. We do not invent quotes, people, credentials, firsthand experience or evidence. The publisher remains accountable for the work.
Images and headlines
Images must be original, licensed, public-domain or otherwise rights-cleared and accurately captioned. Headlines must accurately describe the article without hiding essential information or manufacturing outrage.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected promptly with a dated explanation. Read our Corrections Policy or contact us.
