Florida Disaster Centers List All 11 Sites and Hours

Florida disaster centers are open across six Northwest Florida counties for people affected by Hurricane Isaias, with five additional registration points offering temporary help. The full centers connect residents with Florida, FEMA and U.S. Small Business Administration representatives without an appointment.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management says homeowners and renters in Bay, Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Washington counties may visit any open center. Visiting a location does not guarantee eligibility or an award; it provides a place to ask questions, register and work through the recovery process.

Florida disaster centers and hours

Full Multi-Agency Resource Centers generally operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central time, Monday through Sunday. Two locations have Sunday exceptions.

County Center and address Sunday status
Escambia Brownsville Community Center, 3200 W. De Soto St., Pensacola Open under the general schedule
Holmes First Baptist Church of Bonifay Ministry Center, 116 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Bonifay Closed Sunday
Bay Old Oakland Terrace Elementary School, 2010 W. 12th St., Panama City Open under the general schedule
Walton DeFuniak Springs Community Center, 361 N. 10th St., DeFuniak Springs Closed Sunday

Okaloosa Destin-Fort Walton Beach Rigdon Center, Pruitt Room, 1958 Lewis Turner Blvd., Fort Walton Beach Open under the general schedule

The state notice does not publish a final closing date. Residents should check the official locator before a long trip because Florida disaster centers, registration points and operating hours can change.

Registration points are different

Florida also lists five temporary Registration Assistance Points. Most operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time daily. The two Walton County points listed below operate until 7 p.m.

County Registration point Published hours
Escambia Central Office Complex, 3363 W. Park Place, Pensacola 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Santa Rosa Administration Complex, 6495 Caroline St., Milton 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Santa Rosa Bray-Hendricks Park, 5259 Booker Lane, Jay 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Walton Freeport City Hall Council Chambers, 112 Florida 20, Freeport 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
Walton Walmart DeFuniak Springs, 1226 U.S. 331, DeFuniak Springs 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

The state describes these as registration points rather than full Multi-Agency Resource Centers. Someone who needs to meet multiple agency representatives should confirm that the chosen site provides that service before traveling.

What to bring

FDEM does not publish a mandatory document checklist in the center notice. A resident can reduce repeat visits by bringing the best available identification, damaged-property address, insurance information, photographs, repair estimates, lodging receipts and any FEMA registration number already assigned.

Do not delay a first contact merely because every document is unavailable. Staff can explain the next record needed and the assistance channel that fits the household’s situation. Households should keep copies of every confirmation number and write down the agency represented by each person who provides instructions. That record can reduce confusion when a later request asks for another document or sends the applicant to a separate program.

All listed centers are accessible to people with disabilities or access and functional needs and include assistive technology. People using relay services should provide FEMA with the number for that service when calling.

Residents may also apply at DisasterAssistance.gov, call 800-621-3362 or use the FEMA mobile app. The phone line operates daily and offers help in most languages.

The official Florida center notice controls current addresses and hours. The Daily Quill’s consumer guides desk tracks changing Florida disaster centers and public-service details, while its Florida disaster-loan guide explains a separate loan process.

Before leaving, check the locator again for a closure or schedule change. The next useful update for Florida disaster centers will be a revised list, a published closing date or a new county location.
