Ole Miss Auburn Gameday Needs Wallet Tickets and a Plan

Ole Miss Auburn gameday gives fans less than five hours between parking-lot opening and kickoff Saturday, and a Jones Hall construction detour adds another reason to arrive with a plan.

No. 12 Ole Miss hosts Auburn at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on Oct. 31. Kickoff is set for 11:45 a.m. Central on SEC Network, according to the Ole Miss Athletics fan primer.

The university says mobile tickets use NFC Tap-and-Go entry. Screenshots will not work, so fans should add tickets to a phone wallet before reaching the stadium.

Ole Miss Auburn gameday timeline

Time Saturday Event or deadline
7 a.m. Parking areas open
8:45 a.m. FanFest begins
9:05 a.m. Walk of Champions
9:45 a.m. Stadium gates open
11:45 a.m. Ole Miss-Auburn kickoff
6:30 p.m. The Grove closes

The timeline leaves only 20 minutes between FanFest opening and the Walk of Champions. A group that wants both should park early and decide on a meeting point before mobile service becomes crowded.

Ticket checks before leaving home

Download each ticket and add it to the phone’s wallet. A screenshot, photograph or ordinary message forward does not replace the official ticket transfer process.

If several people are entering separately, transfer the correct ticket to each attendee in advance. Charge the phone, reduce screen-lock delays and know which gate is assigned. Fans with ticket trouble should use official Ole Miss support rather than buying a replacement from an unverified seller.

Ole Miss provides its current digital ticket guide with wallet and transfer instructions. Complete those steps on a reliable connection rather than waiting in the entry line.

Jones Hall changes the traffic pattern

The university says construction at Jones Hall affects Grove Loop traffic. North-side pickups should enter from Jackson Avenue and Sorority Row, then exit by Alumni Drive and Gertrude Ford Boulevard.

Vehicles may not wait or remain unattended. University Avenue allows a 15-minute loading and unloading period until the road closes, which the primer says occurs about four hours before kickoff. For an 11:45 a.m. game, that places the expected closure near 7:45 a.m.; traffic control on site remains authoritative.

Friday setup also follows a schedule. Student organizations may enter from 2 to 3 p.m., vendors from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and the Grove closes at 5:30 p.m. before opening to the public at 6 p.m.

Readers can follow regional games on The Daily Quill’s Sports desk. Oxford and Mississippi service updates also appear in Community and Public Services.

The practical sequence is to download tickets Friday, verify the construction route, leave for Oxford early and check official alerts Saturday morning. Gates open at 9:45 a.m., two hours before kickoff.
